• All students with a grade point average (GPA) of 3.00 or better will be invited to a meeting with the La Vida Scholars Program, which seeks out high school students from Lynn’s community who are performing well academically but who may lack the guidance and resources to successfully enter the best colleges. Fifteen students are selected to participate; they are prepared, guided, and encouraged through every step in the college entrance process to ensure that they make the best decision possible. Visit www.la-vida.org for more information.

  • Prepare for your final examinations, which occur towards the middle of June. Students will take a two-hour examination, for each course, that tests a student’s knowledge of all material studied since September (in some courses, it will test knowledge studied since January).

  • Review your fourth quarter report card and share it with your parents. Heed the warnings and follow the suggestions mentioned in the above October suggestions.

  • Remember to complete your summer reading assignments. The assignments should have been handed out and reviewed in all English Language Arts and History courses. Throughout the summer, the Guidance Department will have extra copies of these assignments.
