Each year, the “We the Students” essay competition gives high-school students from across the U.S. a chance to share their perspectives on a trending topic. This year, they are asking students to consider what role the government should play in monitoring internet content and they are awarding $20,000+ in scholarship and prizes to the winning essayists, including:
- 1st Place – $5,000 and a scholarship to their Constitutional Academy in Washington, D.C.
- Runners Up – Six prizes at $1,250 each.
- Honorable Mentions – Eight prizes at $500 each.
