Boston North Cancer Association (BNCA) Scholarships

FOR SENIORS

One applicant will be selected for each of the four (4) below scholarship categories from a competitive application process. BNCA will notify applicants about award decisions. These are one-time, non-renewable $3,500 scholarships.

  • Awarded annually to a college-bound north of Boston high school senior whose parent either passed away from cancer, survived cancer during the applicant’s childhood years, or is currently undergoing treatment for cancer, and has an interest in pursuing a career in medicine.
  • Awarded annually to a college-bound north of Boston high school senior who is a cancer survivor or is currently undergoing treatment for cancer.
  • Awarded annually to a college-bound north of Boston high school senior whose parent is currently undergoing treatment for breast cancer, survived breast cancer treatment, or passed away from breast cancer.
  • Awarded annually to a college-bound north of Boston high school senior whose parent either passed away from cancer, survived cancer during the applicant’s childhood years, or is currently undergoing treatment for cancer.

The scholarship awards will be presented at a special reception on a date to be announced due to the COVID-19 virus postponement. The scholarship award recipients are strongly urged to attend, but if school engagements interfere, they are not required to attend to receive the scholarship. In order to secure the scholarship payment, scholarship recipients must submit written documentation from the college/university to BNCA indicating that the recipients are actively enrolled for the Fall 2021 semester.

Application must be completed online.

Application deadline is May 1, 2021.
