College of the Holy Cross Scholarship Opportunity for Classics Majors

Greetings from the largest and most active undergraduate Classics Department in the United States!

I am writing to you today to share some information about a four year, full tuition scholarship for students who will major in Classics. Two scholarships are available to highly qualified students who will enter Holy Cross in Fall 2022.

We seek students who have the potential:

  • to succeed in Greek and Latin language courses;
  • to think critically and reflectively about Classics;
  • to be a student leader in the department; and
  • to grow and contribute within the context of the College and its mission.

We welcome inquiries from all students, and we are especially interested in working with candidates from groups under-represented in Classics, such as women, students of color, students with disabilities, LGBTQIA+ students, and first-generation college students.

In addition to applying to the College via the Common Application or Coalition Application, candidates for the Classics Scholarships must complete a separate online scholarship application by January 15, 2022.

After January 15, 2022, we will contact a short list of applicants with requests for interviews.
