FREE Assistance Completing FAFSA

FOR SENIORS

The Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) has contracted with uAspire to provide free virtual supports to high school students in districts that belong to the Urban Superintendents Network (including Lynn Public Schools).

uAspire provides FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) assistance to Lynn English seniors through a FAFSA Support Help Center. uAspire is a national nonprofit that ensures that all young people have the financial information and resources necessary to find an affordable path to and through college. Lynn English seniors will receive FREE assistance to help complete the FAFSA. uAspire currently offers the following supports:

  • Advising through text message. Students can text (978) 216-5109 to receive individualized support from our advisors. (Zoom and phone calls are available).
  • FAFSA Walkthroughs. Students and families can attend pre-scheduled webinars to learn more about the FAFSA process and get their questions answered. uAspire’s next event will take place on March 10th. Click here to register or visit https://uaspire.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_m-mYOtaQT8ylPTYVng2vJg

Filling out the FAFSA as soon as possible will give Lynn English seniors the best chance at more financial aid, particularly as many college application and financial aid deadlines are coming up.

It is important to know that filling out the FAFSA does not commit students to enrolling in college or taking out any loans. What it does is keep college an option by connecting students with financial aid.

There are significant financial aid resources available for students at the state and federal level and affordable opportunities offered by Massachusetts state public universities and colleges.
