Upward Bound
Upward Bound is a federally-funded TRIO program designed to prepare and empower students to complete high school and pursue post-secondary education. College-bound students from Lynn Public Schools must have completed the 8th grade, be between the ages of 13 and 19, and have a need and desire for academic support in order to pursue a program of post secondary education. Students must either be from low income families or be potential first-generation college students.
Academic Support and Career Advising
- After-school tutoring Monday – Thursday
- MCAS, SAT and ACT preparation
- Academic counseling and workshops
- Career exploration and career assessments
College and Financial Aid Advising
- College campus field trips
- College admissions counseling
- Assistance with applying for financial aid, scholarships, grants, and loans
- Financial Literacy classes and workshops
Student Activities
A six-week Summer Academy including academic classes and a college residential experience & cultural, community service, health/fitness, and educational activities and workshops
