2026 Jeff Perrotti LGBTQ+ Leadership Award

FOR SENIORS

This award is open to students who identify as LGBTQ+ or are allies, currently in their final year at a Massachusetts public high school, and intending to pursue further education at an accredited institution post-graduation.

The Commission strongly encourages applications from students whose intersecting identities and lived experiences place them at heightened risk of systemic barriers to accessing and persisting in higher education.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Applicants must be a resident of Massachusetts at the time of application and be in their final year at a Massachusetts public high school.
  • Applicants must apply all awarded funds to their pursuit of an accredited university, college, technical/vocational program, or other academic/professional pursuit on a full- or part-time basis (minimum 6 credit hours).
  • Applicants must identify as a member of the LGBTQ+ community and/or serve LGBTQ+ populations as an advocate, ally, or volunteer.

Application Requirements & Deadline:

A completed application must be submitted on or before Friday, March 20, 2026, at 11:59 PM. Each application must contain a complete set of the following documents:

  • A completed application form
  • A resume, CV, or other documented history of employment/study
  • At least one letter of support from a trusted adult or peer highlighting your commitment to LGBTQ+ liberation
  • Optional: Any supplemental materials (e.g., writing samples, art pieces, music recordings)

Deadline: Applications must be submitted by Friday, March 20, 2026, at 11:59 PM, to be considered for the 2026 award.

Ten scholarships of $4,000 each will be awarded.
